“TRACES OF GOD” PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION HELD IN VEPRIC

On 31 May 2020, Don Marin Barišić’s photography exhibition “Traces of God” had its opening at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Vepric. All proceeds from the sale of the photos will be donated to the Heart for Zambia Foundation for the education of Zambian children. 

We can all make a little difference in alleviating human pain and suffering if we work together. In my opinion, giving will always be more important than receiving. By that I mean unconditional giving, giving and helping from the heart, and doing so out of love. Giving and helping others is a rewarding experience. Giving from the heart, without calculating or anticipating anything in return, is the best feeling in the world.

Zambians have next to nothing, but they are happier than us in a unique way that is difficult to explain. This is unfathomable to those of us who live in the West, where profit and material possessions take precedence over all else. The feeling of seeing the smiles of people who have nothing is indescribable. A smile of a child who gets just a small portion of polenta to eat once a day (if even that), is something that brings you back to life.
